The Household Index Session was exactly what I needed. I had been putting off sorting out our documents for years. The educator walked through it all calmly, asked the right questions, and by the end I had a clear page I could actually use. Nothing dramatic — just genuinely helpful.

I went into the series not sure whether it would be too formal or too abstract. It was neither. The frameworks are simple and the educator made it clear from session one that this was about communication tools, not advice. The framework cards have been useful since then. The third session felt slightly rushed, which is the only thing I'd mention.

We had been meaning to get our household records properly organised for a long time — the kind of thing that keeps getting pushed back. The four-week programme was structured and unhurried. The final session where we walked through everything together with my mother was particularly valuable. The folder system is still in daily use.

Living in Bangkok as a foreigner, I had accumulated a complicated set of documents across multiple categories. The Index Session helped me see clearly what I actually had, and where gaps existed. The educator was thorough and did not try to expand the scope beyond what was advertised.

We rescheduled once during the four weeks due to a family event, and Roundtable was flexible about it without any fuss. The finished folder system is practical rather than decorative — label tabs, colour coding by category, and the written index on the inside cover of the main folder. My husband has been able to find things independently since, which was the main goal.

The series gave me a structured way to approach conversations I had been approaching badly for a while. Three sessions is enough to understand the frameworks without it feeling like a long commitment. I appreciated that the educator was consistent in not weighing in on the specifics — the sessions were genuinely about the tools.

Co-Parenting Conversation Series

In More Detail

Three household journeys.

Case Study — Household Index Session

The Situation

A recently widowed participant in Khlong San needed to understand what household documents existed and where they were kept. Various papers had accumulated across different rooms over many years with no central list.

What We Did

A Household Index Session was held at the participant's home. The educator walked through 24 document categories with the participant, noting location or absence for each one. The session ran 2 hours and 15 minutes.

What Changed

The participant left the session with a one-page printed index covering all 24 categories, four of which were flagged as needing to be located. Within two weeks, the participant had updated the index with all four locations found. The index is now stored in a dedicated folder by the front door.

"I had not realised how many different places things had ended up. Having it all on one page made a real difference to how I felt about the house."

Case Study — Co-Parenting Conversation Series

The Situation

Two adults who had separated were finding that routine conversations about school schedules and household decisions regularly became difficult. Both wanted a more structured approach that did not require involvement of a third party specialist.

What We Did

Both adults completed the three-session Co-Parenting Conversation Series independently, using the same educator over consecutive weeks. Sessions covered opening, active listening, summarising, and closing frameworks. Each left with the same set of framework cards.

What Changed

Both participants reported in feedback forms that subsequent conversations felt more structured and finished more clearly. One noted that having a shared framework — even without having attended together — made a practical difference to how they handled weekly scheduling calls.

"The series gave me a format. I still have the cards in my planner and refer to the closing step particularly."

Case Study — Family Records Coordination Program

The Situation

A three-generation household in Lat Phrao — grandparents, parents, and two adult children — had records dispersed across five different rooms with no shared system. Different family members held different documents with no central awareness.

What We Did

The four-week Family Records Coordination Program was held with home visits each Saturday. The educator worked with whoever was available each week, assembling a colour-coded folder system across six main categories. The final session was a reading walkthrough with the eldest family member.

What Changed

The household now has a central archive in a single cabinet location, with six labelled folders and a two-page written index. Three family members updated the feedback form as a group and noted that the final reading session had been the most useful part of the programme.

"Having everything in one place is a very different feeling. The final session gave us all a chance to understand the system properly."
